1 woman killed, 1 injured in Camden County car accident

The loss of a loved one is never easy to come to terms with. The experience is worse when the loss was a result of someone else's negligence, often called a wrongful death. These unfortunate incidents may include fatal motor vehicle accidents, workplace deaths and nursing home deaths. Camden County recently witnessed one such incident involving a fatal car accident in Vorhees, New Jersey.

The two-vehicle crash left a 64-year-old Marlton woman dead and a 32-year-old woman from Camden County hospitalized. The collision occurred at the exit of Avian Plaza on Evesham Road. Reports state that both vehicles veered off the road after the collision and struck several trees before coming to a stop. Voorhees police arrived at the scene soon afterward.

The injured women were rushed to separate hospitals. According to reports, the 64-year-old woman was taken to Virtua Hospital in Marlton, where she died soon after. The other woman, a 32-year-old resident of Hi-Nella, was transported to Cooper University Hospital and was reported to be in critical condition. Police did not release further information about the crash, pending investigations.

When a fatal accident such as this claims the life of a loved one, the survivors have to deal with a number of emotional and financial difficulties. While the void left by the loss of a loved one is difficult to fill, it may help if the survivors receive compensation for losses such as lost wages, loss of companionship and pain and suffering prior to death, all of which a victim's family may be entitled to, per New Jersey's wrongful death laws.
