Holding nursing homes accountable even if the feds don't

A previous post on this blog talked about how the current Administration is scaling back its enforcement actions against nursing homes which are caught violating safety standards meant to ensure patients are safe from abuse and neglect.

While this news might be disappointing and even disturbing to Camden County residents who have loved ones in nursing homes, it is important for them to remember that, whether they or fined or not, nursing homes have an obligation to take care of their patients and keep them from getting hurt or, worse, dying an untimely death.

When nursing homes fail in their obligation to do this, we help our clients get justice for themselves and their loved ones by holding the nursing homes accountable. Over our 50 years' of serving the people of New Jersey and the Philly area, we have gained for ourselves a reputation as tough negotiators who are willing to take a case to trial if necessary to get our clients the compensation they deserve.

Nor does our office back away when nursing home negligence case seems difficult or hard to prove, such as when, for whatever reason, the nursing home does not get fined for anything in connection with a patient's death.

We recognize that just because a nursing home did not get in trouble with the government, it does not mean that a patient's death is just an accident, and we will diligently investigate the facts of a case in order to uncover any evidence of the nursing home's negligence. If we do find such evidence, we will use it to help our clients get the compensation they deserve.
