Rise in car crashes believed to be due to distracted drivers

The number of auto accidents in New Jersey and across the U.S. combined with their aftermath of injuries and fatalities has led to significant research into how and why they happen, so the numbers can be reduced. Recent research has found that there was a rise in fatalities due to a car crash and it is believed that this is because of the increase in distracted drivers who are using cell phones. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has found there was an increase of 10.4 percent in traffic fatalities in the first half of 2016 versus the same time period in 2015.
